  VACANCY: Commitee Members for the Eating Disorder Therapist Networking Group (volunteer role) ( UK-wide applications accepted)   Hello, Talking EDs (Eating Disorder Support Service Scotland) are pleased to say that we have some volunteering vacancies available with the non-profit, voluntary arm of our business, the Eating Disorder Therapist Networking Group. Before we open up membership of the Eating Disorder Therapist Networking Group to the public, we are looking to assemble a small group of volunteers who will be part of the Planning Group Committee. This is a great opportunity to volunteer 2-3 hours per month while meeting new people, developing new skills and knowledge and gaining experience in the eating disorder field and in planning and organising meetings and events. FridayFacts: Healthy Perspectives on Emotion

 FridayFacts   This week's FridayFacts focus on some myth-busting about feelings and emotions.    We work with many people in psychotherapy, counselling, in support groups, training and in other capacities who have come to believe (for many reasons) that feelings and emotions are 'bad', a sign of 'weakness', 'too much', 'something to be avoided', and that will 'last forever', amongst many other things.   My team and I also work on emotional regulation, tolerating distress and uncomfortable feelings with many clients attending therapy. This work can be very powerful, especially if they believe that feelings and emotions are 'bad' or 'intolerable'. Learning more about what feelings, emotions and moods are is really important and useful and can have a really good impact on our perception of what feelings and emotions are and on our mental and emotional wellbeing generally.   The poster below provides some 'facts' and

CBT Therapist: Adult Eating Disorders    You will see clients at our offices in Glasgow city centre Talking EDs: Eating Disorders Support Service Scotland seek to recruit a suitable CBT Therapist to join our friendly, supportive team of psychotherapists, counsellors, mental health practitioners and dieticians. We are currently a team of 14. We are looking for an Affiliate CBT Therapist: Adult Eating Disorders to provide in-person therapy and counselling appointments at our offices in Glasgow city centre. This role is not suitable for newly qualified therapists (0-3 years) or those with little or no experience or training in eating disorders and disordered eating. We are looking for someone to see our clients for one of the available clinic times below. We request that Affiliates commit to seeing a t least 5 clients per week during one of the clinics below. VACANCY: Trainee Therapist/Counsellor for In-person Appointments in Glasgow City Centre

VA CANCY ANNOUNCEMENT:  TRAINEE THERAPIST / COUNSELLOR We are looking for another Trainee Therapist to join the team. Trainees in their 2nd year may apply at this time. However, if you are in 1st year and already have some experience of working with clients/patients, we will consider your application. You will be required to see clients in-person at our offices in Glasgow city centre. You are responsible for securing your own clinical supervision (although we can provide students with discounted supervision with our clinical supervisor here).
