VACANCY: Trainee Therapist/Counsellor for In-person Appointments in Glasgow City Centre

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: 

TRAINEE THERAPIST/COUNSELLOR

We are looking for another Trainee Therapist to join the team. Trainees in their 2nd year may apply at this time. However, if you are in 1st year and already have some experience of working with clients/patients, we will consider your application.


You will be required to see clients in-person at our offices in Glasgow city centre. You are responsible for securing your own clinical supervision (although we can provide students with discounted supervision with our clinical supervisor here). We will, however,  be involved with your placement and offer regular support, check-ins and monitoring. You will also be invited to attend team meetings and support and supervision groups with other team members.

You will receive referrals from all 3 of our practices and will work with clients experiencing a range of concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, eating disorders/disordered eating, difficult emotions, relationship problems, and more.

This is non-renumerated; however, you will receive access to other opportunities at the practice; support; experience; a thank you gift when you end your placement; discounted supervision and discounted therapy room hire for one year after qualifying; and more. 

Please note that client referrals are not guaranteed and may vary with seasonal fluctations and client preferences for certain appointment times, modalities etc. We are looking for someone who can offer at least 2-3 client appointments per week on a regular basis.

Please note: due to the long process involved, we do not, at this time, accept trainee psychologists on placement with us.


If your training centre have a placement approval process i place, you must advise us of this before you apply.
Client slots are currently available on the following days/times:

Mondays: 8am-10am or 12pm-5pm
Tuesdays, 8am-10am
Wednesdays: none available
Thursdays: 11am-5pm
Fridays: 8am-10am, 3.30pm-9pm
Saturdays: 5pm-7pm
Sundays: all day
